Baan Laem Yai pier is one of the main entry points to Koh Yao Yai and it is located on the west coast, near Loh Pared Bay Beach. From there, you can easily find a taxi or a motorbike rental to explore the rest of the island.
Baan Laem Yai Pier is also known as Laem Yai Pier or Larm Yai Pier. It is a simple wooden structure that extends into the turquoise water. You can see the stunning view of the surrounding islands and the horizon from the pier. You can also watch the local fishermen and boat operators go about their daily activities.
The pier is not far from some of the attractions on the island, such as Loh Pared Bay Beach, Lam Haad Beach and Koh Yao Yai Village. You can also find some restaurants and shops near the pier, where you can buy snacks, drinks, souvenirs and other essentials.
The ferry and speedboat schedules to and from Baan Laem Yai Pier vary depending on the season and the weather. The prices also depend on the type of boat and the destination. Generally, a ferry ticket costs around 200 baht per person, while a speedboat ticket costs around 300 baht per person.
