Ferry from Donsak to Koh Samui
We run the Donsak to Koh Samui ferry across the Gulf of Thailand, the main car-and-passenger service connecting the mainland coast with the island. The crossing takes around 45 minutes, with boats leaving from Leam Tuad Pier and Seatran Ferry Pier and arriving at three different points around Koh Samui.

Departing Donsak
Arriving Koh Samui
The Donsak ferry is the workhorse of the Gulf — a high-capacity, car-carrying service that runs throughout the day and handles the bulk of island traffic. Our boats make the 45-minute crossing between the mainland and Koh Samui in all but the most severe weather, so you can count on a reliable connection whenever you travel.
Piers on both sides
On the mainland, sailings depart from Leam Tuad Pier and Seatran Ferry Pier in Donsak, both of which have passenger terminals, parking and a café. On Samui, we serve Nathon Pier on the west coast, Bangrak Pier in the north, and Mae Nam Pier also in the north. Nathon is the most central for getting around the island; Bangrak and Mae Nam put you close to the quieter northern beaches. Morning departures start at 06:00, with a second sailing around 11:00.
Fares start from THB 241 — among the best-value crossings in the Gulf. If you're bringing a vehicle, book ahead during public holidays when the ferries fill up quickly. The crossing is usually smooth; the bay is generally sheltered, and even in the rainy season most crossings run without delay.
