Departing Koh Lipe
Arriving Railay
Our ferry departs Beach Jetty on Koh Lipe at 09:00 each morning, cutting north through the Andaman Sea to reach Railay by early afternoon. The crossing takes around five and a half hours — a proper sea journey rather than a short hop, so bring water, sunscreen and something to read.
Where you arrive
The boat docks at Railay Pier, the peninsula's only entry point. From the moment you step off, there are no roads and no motor vehicles — Railay is accessible purely by sea, which keeps it unhurried in a way few places in Thailand manage. The towering limestone karsts are visible well before landfall.
The dry season from November to April gives the calmest conditions for this crossing; swells build in the wetter months and the schedule can be affected by weather. Fares start from around THB 1,950. Book ahead during peak season — there is only one sailing a day on this route.
