Departing Koh Nangyuan
Arriving Koh Phangan
The ferry leaves Koh Nangyuan at 08:30 each morning, tracking south-east across the Gulf toward Koh Phangan. At around two hours, it's a comfortable mid-length crossing — shorter than the onward leg to Samui, long enough to enjoy the open water and watch the bigger islands come into view.
Where you arrive on Phangan
All services on this route dock at Thong Sala Pier, Koh Phangan's main port on the south-west coast. Thong Sala is the island's commercial hub — songthaews, taxis and motorbike rentals are right outside, and the main beach roads fan out from here.
The Gulf of Thailand is most settled from November through April, when the northeast monsoon keeps the sea calm. The crossing is generally manageable year-round, but mornings are smoother than afternoons. Fares start from around THB 600. If your bag is heavy, secure it in the hold early — seating fills quickly on the single daily departure.
