Ferry from Koh Nangyuan to Koh Samui
We run the Koh Nangyuan to Koh Samui ferry every day, connecting this tiny triple-island retreat with the Gulf's largest and liveliest island. The crossing takes around three hours through calm Gulf of Thailand waters, with a single morning departure that suits an early start. Fares start from THB 700.

Departing Koh Nangyuan
Arriving Koh Samui
Our ferry departs Koh Nangyuan each morning at 08:30, heading south through the Gulf of Thailand toward Koh Samui. The journey takes around three hours — long enough to settle in, watch the coastline recede and the bigger islands grow on the horizon. It's a relaxed crossing through generally sheltered waters.
Piers and arrival points
Boats arrive at one of Samui's northern and western piers — Bangrak Pier, Mae Nam Pier, or Nathon Pier depending on the service. Bangrak and Mae Nam sit on the quieter north coast, while Nathon is the island's main ferry port on the west side, handy for the ring road and onward transport.
The Gulf is at its calmest between December and April, when northeast winds are light and visibility is good. Outside those months the crossing remains manageable but can be choppier — pick a morning slot if you're sensitive to swell. Fares start from around THB 700. Travel light if you're heading straight to the beach; storage on the smaller island ferries is limited.
