Our ferries cross the Gulf of Thailand between Koh Samui and Koh Phangan on a schedule that runs from early morning onward. Departures leave from Bangrak Pier, Mae Nam Pier, or Nathon Pier on Samui's north coast, and all services arrive at Thong Sala Pier — Koh Phangan's main port and the gateway to the rest of the island.
Crossing times and what to expect
The fastest crossings take around 20 minutes; some services take a little longer depending on the vessel and stops. Early morning sailings from 06:30 are popular with travellers making onward connections.
Conditions in the Gulf of Thailand are generally calmer during the dry season from December through April. Fares start from THB 200. From Thong Sala it is a short ride to the rest of the island — beaches, the interior, and the various bays that give Koh Phangan much of its character.
