Departing Koh Tao

Arriving Donsak

Ferry to Donsak

Departures leave from Mae Haad Pier on Koh Tao's west coast at 09:30 every morning. The ferry carries you across the Gulf of Thailand, arriving at Leam Tuad Pier or Seatran Ferry Pier in Donsak in around three hours and 15 minutes. Donsak's terminal has a café, a passenger hall and plenty of parking for those continuing by private vehicle.

Getting away from Koh Tao

Mae Haad Pier sits at the centre of Koh Tao's main village, so it's easy to reach from most accommodation without an early taxi scramble. The 09:30 departure lands you in Donsak around midday, leaving a comfortable window to connect to Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat or further afield.

The calmest conditions on this Gulf crossing tend to fall between November and April. Outside peak dry season the sea can get choppy, particularly in September and October. Fares start from around THB 751.
