Ferry to Phuket

Koh Yao Noi sits in the middle of Phang Nga Bay, and the ferry ride back to Phuket is one of the finer stretches of water in southern Thailand — limestone karsts rising out of the sea on either side as the boat crosses to the bigger island. We pick up from Bang Rong Pier, Manoh Pier and Thadan Pier on Koh Yao Noi, with the crossing taking around 50 minutes.

Where you arrive in Phuket

Arrivals come in at several Phuket landing points, including Rassada Pier and Chalong Pier — from either you're well-placed for the airport, Phuket Town, or onward transfers down the coast. With departures from around 10:40 and 11:50, morning check-outs on Koh Yao Noi fit neatly into the schedule.

The bay is calmest through the November-to-April dry season, though the ferries run all year. Fares start from THB 400. If you've been staying on Koh Yao Noi for the pace and the views, this crossing gives you one last look at the bay before the city reasserts itself.
