The journey from Krabi to Ao Nang is short — the two destinations sit close together on the Andaman coast, and the quickest connection takes around 10 minutes. Depending on your starting point (the airport, Krabi Town, or one of the local piers) the route may combine a road leg with a short boat crossing, or run entirely by road. Getting to Ao Nang
Arrivals into Krabi Airport can pick up a transfer directly from the terminal. Those already in Krabi Town or at the pier area have several departure windows to choose from, including early morning and evening options. On the Ao Nang side, services drop you at Ao Nang Beach or Nopparat Thara Pier, both right in the heart of the resort area.
Ao Nang is the main gateway for day trips to Railay Beach, the Four Islands, and Koh Phi Phi — so getting there quickly and cheaply is worth planning. With fares from THB 150, this is one of the most affordable hops on the Andaman coast. Book ahead during peak season when airport arrivals are heavy.
