With more than 30 operators covering this route and over a hundred departures a day, there's real flexibility on timing — whether you're heading straight from your hotel or connecting from the ferry pier.

Where you leave and arrive

Services depart from across the Krabi area — including Ao Nang Pier, Klong Jilad Pier, and pick-ups in Krabi Town — so you won't need to travel far to your starting point. On Koh Lanta, the main arrival is Saladan Pier at the north of the island, close to shops, restaurants, and onward transport. Some services also call at Tha Sai Pier.

Most crossings involve a short road transfer alongside the ferry leg. Koh Lanta is at its best from November to April when the weather is settled and the sea is calm.
