Ferry to Railay

Boats to Railay leave from Ao Nang Pier and Klong Jilad Pier in Krabi Town — the Ao Nang departure is the most popular for travellers already on the beach strip. The crossing weaves between cliff stacks and emerald water before the bowsprit swings into Railay Beach, the only landing point on the car-free peninsula. At around 15 minutes each way, it is less a journey and more a scene change.

Timetable and fares

Services run from just after 05:00 right through until evening, with roughly 73 departures a day across five operators. Morning and late-afternoon slots are the busiest — most visitors head out for the day and return for sunset. Departures from Krabi Airport are also available for travellers coming straight off a flight.

Fares from THB 260. Railay has no vehicles, no through roads and only a handful of resorts — keep luggage manageable and wear shoes you are happy to get wet on the beach landing.
