Ferry to Phuket

Our ferries depart from Tonsai Pier — the main boat landing at Koh Phi Phi — heading across to Phuket's main passenger terminals at Rassada Pier and Chalong Pier. The first boats leave from around 07:40, with sailings running through until mid-morning and beyond. Several operators cover this route, and around 170 departures a day means there's a good spread of options throughout the morning.

Timing your departure

The Andaman can be choppy in the afternoon, so if you have any flexibility, the earlier sailings tend to offer a smoother ride. Conditions are consistently best during the dry season from November through April. Whether you're heading to Phuket for a flight connection or simply continuing your trip north, the ferry is the most direct link.

Fares start from around THB 500. Laem Tong Beach on the northern tip of Phi Phi Don also has departure options if you're staying at that end of the island. We recommend being at the pier 20–30 minutes before your boat to secure a good seat and stow your bags.
